I was able to work with the gentleman Gloss Black who painted this mural on another mural project with the man Serringe who brought me on as a second camera which in itself is a great honor to me being asked by someone who has been honing his craft for years and would even think to give me a chance to assist him on a project. Seeing this mural on my walkabout today really made me smile and brought up so good thoughts about how far I have come on this journey with a camera in my hand.
This is a composite on two shots of East Broadway in Chinatown in Manhattan. Everyone takes this shot when they walk across the Manhattan Bridge and if you’re lucky you will be able to get the shot in January and you will see the decorations for Chinese New Year, but in my opinion it really is a boring shot aside from just taking for your personal collection.
This is an old shot I took a few years back on one of the early morning walkabouts. Seeing the city wake up on a Monday morning it quite entertaining.
Chinatown in Manhattan is one place where everyone from locals to the tourist seem to gravitate towards and I don’t have an explanation why. I can spend a week just wondering around here and not get bored with anything I see.
