Portraiture

As much as I enjoy street photography portrait photography is something I really want to do, but it’s hard to find people who want their pictures taken. This is my friend Jessica aka Tiny Satan aka the woman behind Created and Reincarnated and what’s she lacks in height she makes up for with a vivid imagination.

Created & Reincarnated

I do make fun of my friend Jessica and call her flower art hipster shit I do have to admit it is very creative. While we were getting shots of them people did keep stoping her to tell her much they liked them so she might be on to something here regardless of smartass opinion. Anyway give her a follow over at Created & Reincarnated and it you are interested is purchasing her art you can find it over on Etsy. Remember Mothers Day is this weekend and it would make a nice gift. Happy Mothers Day to all the good moms out there!

Jesus just chilling in Philly

Walking around New York City you will see some very “interesting” things, but the city of Philadelphia is a very close second with the amount of “interesting” things you will see.

New York

I was able to work with the gentleman Gloss Black who painted this mural on another mural project with the man Serringe who brought me on as a second camera which in itself is a great honor to me being asked by someone who has been honing his craft for years and would even think to give me a chance to assist him on a project. Seeing this mural on my walkabout today really made me smile and brought up so good thoughts about how far I have come on this journey with a camera in my hand.

I chase the light

Like the title says I chase the light when I’m on a walkabout. I love an area the has a large amount buildings that are close together where it chops the light up and bounces the light off other buildings, it is I my opinion the best free studio any photographer can afford.

End of the Graveyard Shift

I work the overnight or graveyard shift on weekends and I tend to walk home from work so I can snap shoots because my need to capture an image can be consider almost an addiction. I walk post this door at the Lackawanna Station in Hoboken and this was the only photo I took that I actually found some sort of connection too.

Philadelphia

Went on a day trip down to the City of Brotherly Love for a walkabout. I thought New York City was interesting, but Philly is coming in at a close second to it. I saw some very interesting people hanging on the streets in Center City. If you have a chance to get the Philadelphia even for a couple of hours you should the amount of history the city has plus the the people who inhabit the city will make it worth the trip.

Another Morning Grind

The first time I had this coffee I was about 9 or 10 years old while I was visiting my grandparents in Puerto Rico. Only a few places carry this coffee in the New York / New Jersey area so when I did find it in a local grocery store I literally bought five bags just in case in disappears again and Im not going to lie when I had the first cup memories of the grandparents came flooding back.

Emmanuel Reyes

I have the luck of knowing some very talented people and with that I have been giving some exclusive entry into the minds of these people. In this photo is Emmanuel Reyes a good friend and a talent in his own right who has been putting in the hours to master his craft of tattooing.

Lady in Red

I once heard a photographer say there is a trifecta street shot that would be his holy gail of shots and it would be an older women in a house coat smoking a cigarette pushing a baby carriage and I think I got pretty close that with this one. She did give me a dirty look and message after I took the shot, but that is something to be expected when you out shooting street photography.

Life in a big city

Living in or around a big city like New York City even for a short amount of time is something that everyone should experience for the only fact that you will learn more about yourself in a big city then you will anyway else. I can’t really explain what I mean, but it can and will change your views real quick.

A Photographers Playground

Chinatown in Manhattan is one place where everyone from locals to the tourist seem to gravitate towards and I don’t have an explanation why. I can spend a week just wondering around here and not get bored with anything I see.

Morning Grind

Coffee, Water, Beer and not always in the order. I stopped by 787 Coffee in the East Village yesterday and I can say the coffee was good enough to make into my cabinet. A little side note, I am a bit basis towards coffee grown in Puerto Rico.
